The Europe-Korea Marine and Ocean Engineers Association (EKMOA) is a voluntary association that builds network among members and promote information sharing. EKMOA strengthens fellowship with the Korean scientific and technological fields. In addition, the Association contributes to development of the shipbuilding, ocean and marine sectors.
The Association is to push forward the activities for exchanging and extending information and expertise; cooperation with industries, universities, research institutes, funding agencies and governments across Korea, Europe, and UK; promoting friendship, enhancing fellowship among members and invigorating the Association.
Purposes

had started activities within Korean Energy and Environment Expert Forum in Europe (K4EF).

July 2013
participated in the Europe-Korea Conference on Science and Technology (EKC) as a S&T Group.

July 2014
formed the committee for establishing this association.

November 2015
hosted and organised the first Workshop on Ships and Offshore Structures (WSOS).

July 2016
founded the Europe-Korea Marine and Ocean Engineers Association (EKMOA).

July 2017
made the Memorandum of Understanding with the Society of Naval Architects of Korea (SNAK).

September 2017
made the Memorandum of Understanding with the Korea Offshore and Shipbuilding Association (KOSHIPA).

made the Memorandum of Understanding with the Korea Research Institute of Ships & Ocean
Engineering (KRISO).
